Alpha Star wins Godiva Award for  "Best Business Innovation" for the DVD documentary, Discover Warwickshire. 

ALPHA STAR ENTERING SCI-FI LONDON 48 HOUR FILM CHALLENGE

The compettion is to make a sci-fi short over the weekend of the 14th April. You are given a title, a line of dialogue and a prop to use, and have to write, shoot and edit your film ready to upload on the Monday morning. The prize is a development deal with Vertigo Films so there's a lot to play for. We hope to be shooting the film in Coventry. Keep an eye out for updates.

PRODUCER MENTORSHIP WITH SCREEN WEST MIDLANDS

Alpha Star boss, Simon Cox, is one of ten sucessful film producers in the Midlands to have been awarded a high profile mentorship to help get his feature films off the ground. Simon has now been paired up with multi-award winning producer, Pippa Cross. The project has been funded by Screen West Midlands, Skillset and the WM Producers Forum and offers producers the opportunity to team up with a top Producer of their choice. More news to follow.
